Climate change or immigration or just ignorance?

I have never seen anything this big before. I assume it's a grass hopper of some sort. But it's 6cm long. Jeez.

    think i know just what this BIG BASTARD is.
    according to David Element’s wildlife photography site it is (drum roll please) GREAT GREEN BUSH CRICKET Tettigonia viridissima (f) ‘once seen never forgotten’. Well, yeah.
